Perhaps one of the most important tasks of the animal activist is to change the status of animals in people's minds from mere objects to individual beings- individuals with personalities, feelings, and experiences. How better to do that than with images? Images challenge the mythology that allows people to perpetrate animal exploitation and forces people to face the faces of the innocents who suffer under that exploitation.
